Craig Buckley scored on his debut as Mossley reached the semi-finals of the UniBond League President’s Cup with a 2-1 win over Retford United last night.

The midfielder, who was signed from Ramsbottom United last week, struck on the stroke of half-time after Danny Dignan had given the Lilywhites a 28th-minute lead.

Retford pulled a goal back after the break, but Chris Willcock’s side held out to go through to the last four.
