PLUCKY Chadderton were beaten 3-2 at AFC Liverpool last night in the quarter-finals of the Vodkat North-West Counties League’s First Division Trophy.

Dave Shaw cancelled out an early Ian Sheridan effort for the hosts, while the Broadway outfit equalised again through Paul Socha after Dave Eaton had put the home side back in front.

But Chadderton’s hopes were finally dashed when Mark Bloxham bagged Liverpool’s third just after half-time.

A third-minute goal from Mike Fish earned Mossley a 1-0 victory at Warrington Town in UniBond League division one north last night to kick off their hectic spell of six games in 13 days.
