Tame Valley, without the services of their regular top two, suffered a 5-0 defeat against Springfield 1st in Division 2 Central of the JJB North West Counties League.
The seconds ended a disastrous run of seven defeats by beating Ellesmere Port 1st 4-1 thanks to Gary Burton, Wayne Smith, Steve Ivell and Graham Hall.
Mark Regan, Derek Leyland and Nigel Young guided the fourths to their fifth win in a row, 3-2 against Lancastrian 2nd.
