Deaf stay top after hard-fought victory

DEAF B have retained their five-point lead at the top of the Oldham Amateur Snooker League thanks to a 4-2 victory at home to Little Cot.

Danny Balcerzak got Cot B off to a great start, taking the first frame courtesy of a 40 break, and when D Newton added the second frame things were looking good for the away side.

G Robinson then pulled one back before a 32 break by Danny Reece in the fourth frame brought the frame scores level at 2-2. M J Smith then took the final frame for Deaf B to give them a hard-fought victory.

A 5-1 win for Moss Inn away at Oldham Town puts them up into third place. Nick Broadbent knocked in a 30 break as St Paul’s beat Deaf A 5–1 at home.

Nimble Nook’s 4-0 whitewash of Stanley Road sees them extend their lead at the top of the card table. They are now seven points ahead of nearest rivals Oldham Cricket.
