LEAGUE leaders Royton Cons and second-placed High Crompton B both won their matches 5-1 as they battle for the title in the Chadderton Snooker League, sponsored by Hillbillies.

A break of 46 by Brian Quinlan helped Hillbillies to a 5-1 win over New Moston Club, while Steve Bramwell (Moss Inn) and Ronnie Scott (High Crompton A) both achieved a 30 break in helping their teams to victory.
