Shock from Vixens

VIXENS caused a huge shock in the quarter-finals of Chadderton Cot’s Ben Shaws Team Knock-out when they defeated Radcliffe by three chalks.

In receipt of 40 points, Vixens had four winners and held on for a narrow victory despite a 21-0 success for Radcliffe’s Ian Turrell.

There was another surprise when ‘A’ Division champions Royle lost to Lower Failsworth, who made the most of the 60 chalks they received.

Waterloo and Taunton won all eight games to beat Prestwich and were joined in the semi-finals by Springbank, who defeated North Chadderton by 22 chalks.

The semi-finals and finals will be held on Sunday when the draw is: Springbank v Waterloo and Taunton, and Lower Failsworth v Vixens.
