OLDHAM TOWN still have it all to do if they are to reach the final of the Vodkat North-West Counties League’s First Division Trophy.
But manager Tony Mills is undaunted as Town head to Padiham for the second leg of their semi-final. They were held to a 1-1 draw in the first leg.
“They are a well-organised and well-drilled side but, after the first game, we know we have nothing to fear,” said Mills.
Padiham’s two league defeats came in August, including against Town on the opening day of the season.
Winger Stuart McGill is a doubt after picking up a hamstring strain in Tuesday’s 5-1 home league win against Leek CSOB.
Leon Melia stands by to replace McGill, while central-defender Damian Schofield, rested in midweek, is back and Tom Hughes returned after injury as a substitute against Leek.
CHADDERTON’S injury problems are piling up as they prepare for tomorrow’s home game against Irlam in division one of the Vodkat NWCL.
Midfielders Paul Socha (foot) and Danny Shaw (hamstring) are major doubts, while Ben Greenidge is definitely out.
Chadderton visit Daisy Hill tomorrow in the reserve division.
