Double-act fire Town into final

FAILSWORTH Town under-13s are through to the final of the Tameside Sunday League Cup after goals from Dylan Marshall and Cole Simister sealed a 2-0 success over Manchester Macabbi.
Declan Marks scored the consolation goal for the under-12s, who lost 3-1 at Middleton Lads in a hard-fought game.
But Chris Charlton’s double, plus a Sean McKay effort, earned the under-14s a 3-1 victory at Dukinfield Tigers.
GOALS from Ben Holmes (two), Danny Tindall and Michael Pass clinched a 4-1 victory for Heyside Juniors under-13s against Moorside.
The under-14s were losing 2-1 to Uppermill at half-time, but bounced back to win 3-2.
Devaughn Bridge, Jordan Holt and Corey Fairweather scored for Heyside.
CHADDY End FC under-14s, with goals from Joe Burgoyne and Daniel Hawthorne, defeated Glossop North End 2-0.
AN ELLIOTT Moss effort was in vain as Boundary Park Juniors under-12s ‘A’ were beaten 2-1 by Eastlands.
UPPERMILL under-15s made it three wins on the trot with a 2-1 defeat of Dukinfield Town. George Griffiths and Tom Shackleton got the goals.
