TIME is running out for bowlers wishing to enter this year’s Oldham Evening Chronicle Handicap.
Only the first 64 entries will be accepted and the first qualifying night, Friday, June 5, is proving particularly popular.
Heats for that evening will take place at Nimble Nook and Royton, while the other qualifiers will be held on the following Friday, June 12, at Crompton and Delph.
The finals will be held at North Chadderton SC on Saturday, July 11.
To enter, send your name, address, daytime phone number, club or team membership details and choice of date, with the entry fee of £5, to Bob Nisbet, 22 Severn Road, Hollinwood, Oldham OL8 3RQ. Make cheques payable to Oldham Evening Chronicle Bowling Handicap. No entry will be accepted without the fee. The competition is organised by the OEC, whose rules and decisions will be final.
TONGE had no game in the Manchester Premier League this week, but they return to action next Wednesday (7.30pm) with a home fixture against Warrington side Pierpoints.
