Mike Holt and Robbie Smith scored from set pieces as the local side was punished for poor marking.
In an eventful match, Chadderton lost goalkeeper Lee Swanson in the opening period with an ankle injury.
And, when his replacement Ben Aspinall was also injured, centre-half Gaz Hartley had to go in goal.
Midfield man Gareth Morris was sent off in the second period for picking up two bookings.
OLDHAM Town are in action tonight at bottom club Ashton Town in the first division of the Vodkat NWCL, while Mossley travel to UniBond League division one north leaders Durham City.
