OLDHAM Northstars suffered two defeats in their double header with local rivals Bolton Robots of Doom in the British League.
Having been shut out twice in the opening two defeats by Manchester A, Northstars got on the scoresheet in a 21-10 reverse in the first game against Bolton but managed to score only twice in a comprehensive defeat in the rematch.
In both games, Northstars were at a disadvantage as, due to injury cry-offs, they had only seven players and had to borrow off Bolton.
The next game is this Sunday against the Menwith Hill Patriots at Royton and Crompton School with the first pitch scheduled for noon.
Anyone interested in joining the Northstars can turn up at practice every Wednesday at 6pm at the same venue
