OLDHAM TOWN suffered a dramatic second-half collapse as they lost 7-3 at Holker Old Boys in the first division of the Vodkat North West Counties League.
There was no inkling of what lay in store late in the opening period when Town held a 2-1 advantage thanks to Alex Dibley and Tom Hughes.
Holker drew level from the penalty spot and went ahead early in the second half before extending their advantage to 5-2.
Damian Schofield pulled a goal back from the penalty spot but Holker cashed in on poor defending with two more goals.
Former Everton and Wales defender Kevin Ratcliffe is the speaker at Town’s sportsmen’s evening on Friday, June 12. Tickets priced £40 are available from Dave Shepherd (07846 170895) or the club (0161 624 2689).
