Win for Moreton

Comeback king John Moreton scooped £250 for winning the Shaw Summer Darts Classic at Tara Leisure, which attracted a field of 130.

Moreton, who hails from Shaw, was 2-0 down in the final against Huddersfield’s Dave Wilson, but bounced back to seal a 5-2 success.

He also displayed excellent powers of recovering in the last four. He trailed Royton’s Neil Stott 3-0, before turning the deficit into a 5-3 triumph.
