Amateur football round up

VICTORY in the Butterworth Cup final clinched Rochdale and District Sunday League double delight for Boundary Park.

With the division two title already in the bag, they went in search of more silverware success against Red Lion.

But they found themselves 1-0 down after only two minutes, and wasted a chance to equalise when Jordan Scholes missed a penalty.

Boundary Park dominated the second half, but had to wait until late on to level through Rick Sopel.

Still all-square after extra-time, penalties were required and Boundary Park held their nerve to win the shoot-out 4-2.
