DELPH bowed out of the Huddersfield League’s Sykes Cup, beaten by 30 runs by Scholes in the second round yesterday.
Scholes were restricted to 149 all out (Lilley 4–25), but Delph were bowled out for 119.
Delph had no trouble in the league on Saturday, defeating Micklehurst by seven wickets.
Bilal Khiljee (71no) and Bruce Cruse (55) helped them to 170 for three.
Khiljee had earlier taken four for 54 in 23 overs as Micklehurst totalled 169 all out (Anchor 53, Gleave 49).
Imran Lohdi took four for 10 as Delph 2nds (50 for three) hammered Almondbury (49 all out).
