SUMMER rugby comes to Greenfield tomorrow, as Saddleworth Rangers play host to Rochdale Mayfield in the National Conference League’s trial summer competition.
With most of the first team players getting a well-earned rest after their exploits last season, the first of six summer matches between now and mid-July offers the chance for fringe men and under-18s starlets to shine.
The game starts at 2pm and there is also action taking place beforehand, with a Masters tournament beginning around noon.
On a packed day for the club, Saddleworth are also hosting their open-age and under-18s presentation evening on the same night.
