Jewitt ton aids Delph

PAUL Jewitt jnr, son of former Delph captain Paul snr, hit his first century in senior cricket as Delph seconds defeated Clayton West by 108 runs in the Drakes Huddersfield League.
He struck 126, which included 12 sixes and 10 fours, while Tom Wood weighed in with 105 out of a total of 281 for four. Jewitt also took four for 41.
Delph’s first-team fixture at home to Barkisland was abandoned without a ball being bowled.
