THE 2009 Oldham Evening Chronicle Bowls Handicap gets under way – weather permitting – at two venues tomorrow.
Last week’s qualifiers at Royton and Nimble Nook were postponed because of rain and will now be played tomorrow week, June 19.
Tomorrow’s heats are at Crompton and Delph, where practice is from 6pm and play starts at 6.30pm.
Three-times champion Peter Craig is in action at Crompton, while the top first-round clash at Delph sees Matt Gillies take on Greater Manchester new boy Paul Wakeling.
Two players at both venues will qualify for the finals at North Chadderton Social Club on Saturday, July 11.
