YOU’RE never too old to play football.

So says Jason Keast, who wants to attract over-35s teams into the D&J Builders (North-West) Ltd Oldham Sunday League.

The referee and committee member is hoping the initiative will “steady the ship” as the league battles against falling numbers.

“My idea is for these teams to join the bottom division,” said Jason, who played for Spring Vale and Harlequin.

“If we get enough interest, we could end up with an overs-35s division of its own.”
