Wilson leads the way in lakes cracker

THE R&D Engineering corporate day for customers and guests, at Lindholme Lakes, was a resounding success with some incredible catches.
Winner Ged Wilson weighed in a massive 96lb 11oz of ide, with the fish averaging around the 2lb mark and all falling for the pole, chopped worm and caster.
Bill Cowan was second with his lead approach netting him plenty of small carp in the 1lb to 2lb bracket
He beat Ian Walvin (Gilders) into third place with a 59lb 4oz net tempted by corn and meat over pellet at 12 metres.
CRANBERRY AC’s match on the Ward Lane length of the Huddersfield Narrow Canal was won by Jim Wild with a 14lb catch made up of skimmers taken on the pole and pellet down the track.
Rod Illing, the runner-up, was second with 7lb of skimmers falling for maggot, caster and pellet down the middle and right across.
Steve Wild was next with a 3lb 4oz net on maggot and pellet down the track. John Kelley was fourth with 2lb 4oz of silvers.
DAVE MACHIN has certainly got Tanners Dam sussed, netting his umpteenth win on the water in Tuesday’s Diggle AC evening match.
Long pole, pellet and meat enticed plenty of skimmers weighing in 16lb 4oz.
Martin Taylor (TRI-CAST Highfield) claimed second place with a 4lb carp and some bits weighing 9lb 4oz. He used maggot and pellet hookbaits. Organiser Ian Walvin (Gilders) managed third, with his whip and maggot approach tempting 5lb 10oz of roach in the three to six ounce bracket.
ORGANISER Lee Humphries (GTI Matchman Gold) is on a roll. He netted his second win on the trot in the Chadderton Mill AC Thursday match on the club water.
Drawn on favoured peg 14, Humphries opted for polyball and maggot just inches deep and fed caster all the way through the match to catch 45lb of ide in the six to 12 ounce mark.
Paul Hill (Gilders) was second with his 33lb net made up of ide and a 10lb carp taken later on paste down the edge.
Conrad Taylor (Gilders) took third. His pellet at just six metres netted him 11 carp for 37lb 8oz.
Gerry Lees (Gilders) was drawn on peg one, where he continued to catch well for 30lb 8oz.
CONRAD TAYLOR clinched his second win on the bounce in the Meadow View open match with a level 62lb net of nine carp on corn down the edge.
BILLY BRIERLEY (Team HB) took first place in the Medlock Bridge AC open match on Strinesdale Reservoir.
He employed maggot at a depth of two feet which accounted for nine chub and some roach and perch to 12 ounces for a 21lb 10oz bag.
Bob Harrison (Team HB) was second, with his 11-metre pole and pellet netting two small tench and some skimmers for 16lb 12oz.
Organiser Darren Webb was third with 13 metres of pole and maggot up in the water, together with a skimmer on the pole and pellet, weighing in at 13lb 4oz.
