WOODHOUSES Cricket Club is counting down to a big weekend in the Lancashire County League.

The first team is at home to Denton West in the last four of the Walkden Cup on Sunday, while the second string go to Denton for a semi-final tie in the Hulme Trophy.

Woodhouses, comfortable eight-wicket winners over Roe Green last Saturday, are also in action tomorrow. They welcome Thornham for a league fixture.

Matches start at 1.30pm.

AFTER back-to-back defeats, Delph need a quick riposte to keep their Drakes Huddersfield League title hopes alive.

Grant Jones’ side have slipped 13 points off the premiership one pace set by Scholes.

But Delph have the perfect opportunity regain the winning thread when they play host to lowly Holmfirth tomorrow.

Micklehurst, meanwhile, entertain Clayton West.

Both games start at 1.30pm.
