WERNETH remain in second place in the CLL under-18 Whittaker Cup after recording a 26-run win at home to Rochdale.
Matthew Taylor hit 50 and Franco Lenhardt 43 as Werneth made 161. They dismissed their opponents for 135.
Royton were unable to halt runaway leaders Heywood as they went down by 83 runs at Crimble.
Half centuries from Dale Latham and Dean Wilkinson helped Heywood amass 248 for nine before they bowled out The Paddock side for 165. Liam Brown made 52.
Oldham lost by three wickets at Walsden, where they made a modest 115. Walsden reached 116 for seven in reply.
In the other games, Clifton pipped Unsworth by one run, Littleborough beat Bury by 13 runs and Middleton triumphed by 25 runs against Milnrow.
