Brookdale’s worthy cause

BROOKDALE hosted the ChildFlight Golf Classic, an event organised by the Manchester Airport Golf Society, which raised £1,036 to help send sick children on holiday to Florida.
Eighteen teams took part in the Stableford event and the runaway winners were the MAGS team of Gary Conwell, Phil Rothwell, Vinny Riley and Mike Clinch, who scored 89 points.
They finished well clear of the Norcomm team of Brookdale members Trevor Horton, Roy Haslam, Stan Kershaw and Andy Brownlee (82).
The Manchester Airport Pass Office team of Vinny Lucas, Ron Grant, Sam Seal and Paul Berry came third with 81 points.
