OLDHAM’S Lee Williams produced a special performance to claim the Moston Summer Classic title and the £200 top prize.
The Oldham town team player overcame team-mate John Morton 3-1 in the quarter-finals before blitzing his next two opponents.
First Pete Wood was swept aside in the semis 3-0 thanks to high-class 13, 15 and 12-dart finishes, then Williams — who recently lost to Phil Taylor in a televised British Open clash — dispatched Stockport’s Lee Holden by the same score in the final.
