OLDHAM RUFC kick off their North Lancs/Cumbria division campaign with a local derby at Aldwinians on Saturday, September 5.
But their first competitive fixture is the previous Saturday when they play hosts to Wigan in the first round of the Lancashire Trophy.
It is a repeat of last season when Oldham lost narrowly at Wigan so they have an early chance to avenge that loss.
Oldham have finalised a pre-season game at Winnington Park on Saturday, August 22 and the previous week may play local rivals Littleborough.
They will also be hosting their annual Rugby 10s competition on Saturday, August 8 with teams from Stockport, Marple, Congleton, Aldwinians, Beverley, Ashton-under-Lyne, Higginshaw and Hollinwood joining them.
Training has resumed with sessions on Tuesday and Thursday (7pm) and Sunday (10am) and new players are welcome at all levels, including veterans.
