Tonge’s title hopes take a knock

TONGE’S Manchester Premier League ambitions were dented when they lost 9-7 at home to fellow title contenders South Manchester RBL.
Wins from Gary Ellis (21-4), Jimmy Derby (21-7), Matt Gillies (21-10) and Darren Griffiths (21-14) clinched a 182-161 victory on aggregate, but Manchester’s six wins gave them the lion’s share of the individual points.
Tonge need to bounce back next Wednesday when they travel to Congleton outfit Railway Hotel.
HEATS continue in the £3,000 Moorside Classic tonight (6.30) when the draw is:

A VACANCY has arisen in the Oldham Indoor League’s mixed triples selection.
Matches will be held on Friday nights (7pm) from the end of September until the end of March.
