Seven-shot win for Diane

DIANE Williams had a whopping seven-shot victory in Lady Captain’s Prize at Brookdale thanks to a two-round return of 174-30-144.

Runner-up was Vicky Akin (185-34-151), on the card from Beverley High (177-26-151).

High (89-13-76) claimed the first-day prize, while honours in the second round went to Olive Jones (101-27-74).

And the best-endeavour prize went to Sue Roberts with a score of 232-60-172.
