OLDHAM Town and Chadderton are in FA Cup extra-preliminary round action tomorrow.
Town are preparing for arguably the toughest tie as they visit Wakefield-based Nostell Miners Welfare.
Their hosts, from the premier division of the Northern Counties East League, sold striker Oli Johnson to Stockport County last season.
Manager Tony Mills is envisaging a physical battle and his cause has been hindered by the absences of centre-back duo Damian Schofield and Tim Buxton.
CHADDERTON welcome Atherton Collieries to Broadway.
Collieries, relegated to the first division of the Vodkat North-West Counties League last season, were beaten 1-0 at home by Oldham Town last Saturday.
Chadderton have Gareth Morris and Louis Maynard back, but Dave Glynn and Ben Greenidge are out.
“Some of our players will be experiencing the FA Cup for the first time and I will be telling them to go out and enjoy the occasion, “ said Broadway boss Paul Buckley.
MOSSLEY launch their bid for honours in UniBond League, division one north at Leeds-based Garforth Town tomorrow.
The Lilywhites finished 10th last season, but manager Chris Willcock believes his new-look squad is stronger this time round.
He explained: “I have been able to bring in experience to add to the youth and potential we already had at the club.
“I am looking to improve on last season and win some silverware.”
Willcock has signed vastly experienced ’keeper Peter Collinge, former Stoke and Walsall right-back Dan Schwarz, centre-back Jonathan Jackson, midfield pair Jordan Goodeve and Andy Watson, winger Sam Walker and former Halifax Town striker Nathan McDonald.
