Austerlands lead quest for second place

SUNDAY’S Tanner Cup final between Bamford Fieldhouse and Uppermill at Hollin Lane is the undoubted highlight of this weekend’s action in the Armstrongs Office Furniture Saddleworth and District Cricket League.
Prior to the main event, comes tomorrow’s undercard in the guise of teams jostling for second place.
Austerlands can take another step towards securing runners-up spot by overcoming Droylsden, while fourth-placed Hollinwood go to Saddleworth, who are directly below them in the table.
Bamford Fieldhouse, who are virtually guaranteed the title, visit Glodwick.

DELPH, who sit in third place, visit runaway leaders Scholes in premiership one of the Drakes Huddersfield League tomorrow (start 1pm).
Woodhouses, who slipped out of the top five after defeat to Flowery Field, face a weekend double-header in the Lancashire County League.
The Medlock Road outfit are at home to Woodbank tomorrow and visit Stand on Sunday (start 12.30pm).
