Newton in Rapha line-up

OLDHAM professional cyclist Chris Newton has been selected to ride the prestigious Tour of Ireland this weekend as part of a seven-rider Rapha Condor line-up for the three-day event.
Newton, the Olympic track gold medallist, will line up alongside some of the top names in the sport, including Team Astana legend Lance Armstrong and Team Columbia’s Mark Cavendish, the Isle of Man rider who won several stages of this year’s Tour de France.
The Rapha Condor team will be led by British National Champion Kristian House, joined by join Dan Craven, Darren Lapthorne, Simon Richardson, Tom Southam and Dean Downing who is a last-minute replacement for the unwell Ben Greenwood.
