Route 66 for victorious Roytonians

ROYTONIANS emerged triumphant against promotion rivals Prestwich in division two of the Site Electrical North Manchester League.

Dismissed for just 116, they then reduced their opponents to 66 all out.

Roytonians are second in the table, albeit 14 points adrift of Littleborough thirds, who overcame their Saddleworth counterparts by six wickets.

There were defeats for Failsworth Macedonia and Springhead in division one. The former crashed to 88 all out in response to Elton Vale’s 99.

In division three, Greenfield posted a four-wicket win over mid-table rivals Row Green thirds.

Uppermill thirds, who made 185, had Edgworth 73 for six when time ran out in their division four game, while Springhead seconds’ promotion hopes suffered a blow as they went down to Blackley seconds.
