SECOND tournament win for Coppice in a week
UNSTOPPABLE Coppice FC (above) scooped two tournament wins in the space of a week.
They landed the 10th Amir Qayyum Memorial Trophy and followed up by securing success in the Oldham Bangladeshi Youth Association National seven-a-side competition.
Coppice, who were chasing a fourth Amir Qayyum Memorial victory, faced three-time winners Haji FC in the final.
But it was all Coppice, who registered an emphatic 6-0 victory thanks to goals from Mohammed Wasim (three), Nathan Eastwood (two) and Ibrahim Miah.
The OBYA event, in its 20th year, featured teams from Sheffield, Swindon and Milton Keynes, but again they were no match for Coppice, who beat Hyde Bengal 2-1 in the final.
Eastmond, who was player of the tournament, and Yassar Farooq got the goals.
Coppice has earlier qualified from their group with a 100-per-cent record.
They went on to beat defending champions Mashroor 2-0 in the quarter-finals and overcame Westwood Wanderers 3-2 on penalties in the last four.
