BUOYED by recording their first win of the Bridgewater Office Supplies Manchester League season on Saturday, Royton Town followed up with a 1-0 defeat of Old Alts in midweek.
New-boy Adam Ruddock has made an immediate impact, scoring twice on debut in the 4-0 victory at Leigh Athletic and getting the only goal of the game on Tuesday night.
He opened his account in fifth minute, before Michael Moss doubled the lead moments later.
A cool finish from Ruddock made it three and, after weathering a sustained spell of pressure, Danny Trainer scored number four.
Hollinwood overcame local rivals Springhead 4-2, before being held to a 1-1 draw at Stockport Georgians.
Springhead recovered from Saturday’s setback to defeat Leigh Athletic 4-2.
There were also mixed fortunes for Avro.
After losing 2-1 at East Manchester, they bounced back with a 2-1 win at home to Elton Vale.
