Springhead win again

SPRINGHEAD recorded their fifth win of the season in division one of the Site Electrical North Manchester League.
Replying to East Lancs PM’s total of 131, the Cooper Street outfit reached their target for the loss of five wickets.
Rain saved Saddleworth thirds from almost-certain defeat in division two.
Dismissed for only 82, their opponents Rochdale thirds were 45 without loss when the heavens opened.
Greenfield thirds suffered a two-runs defeat at the hands of their Swinton Moorside counterparts in division three on Bank Holiday Monday.
Saturday, division one: Failsworth Macedonia v Fothergill and Harvey — abandoned; East Lancs PM 131, Springhead 132-5.
Sunday, division two: Saddleworth IIIs 82, Rochdale IIIs 45-0.
Division four: Bury IIIs 137-7 v Springhead IIs — rain stopped play;
Monday, division three: Swinton Moorside IIIs 145, Greenfield IIIs 143.
