SHEM ARRIANNE scored late on as Chaddertonians earned a 2-2 draw at home to Chew Moor Brook in the premier division of the Lancashire Amateur League.
A goal to the good through Neil Sissons, the visitors fought back to lead 2-1, but Arrianne’s fierce drive five minutes from time restored parity.
The club’s reserve side made it three wins from four games in division two with a 3-1 defeat of local rivals Oldham Hulmeians.
Chadds went in front with a first-half penalty but Danny Tate equalised midway through the second period when he tapped in after the ’keeper saved his spot-kick.
But a Chadds double saw them reverse the scoreline from the previous meeting between the two sides just a week earlier. Arrianne (two) and Marcus Osborne got the Chadds goals.
Hulmeians bounced back with a 1-0 home victory over Burscough Bridge in the first round of the Lancashire Amateur Cup. Elliott McKinnell scored a late winner.
Meanwhile, Chadds ‘B’ lost 4-1 to Prestwich in their opening fixture in division six.
CARL LAWTON scored the consolation goal as AFC Royton lost 5-1 to Rochdale Asia reserves in their opening Rochdale On-line Alliance game of the season.
