Nook duo in final 16 aim
Date published: 14 September 2009
Nimble Nook aces Andrew Buckley and Gary Ellis were today bidding for a place in the last 16 of the Waterloo Handicap in Blackpool.
Buckley progressed to the fifth round on Saturday with a comfortable 21-10 victory over Failsworth’s Lee Lawton.
But defending champion Ellis had a major scare, surviving a 21-20 cliffhanger against Telford’s Chris Ball.
Should Buckley beat Dean Ferris (Stoke) and Ellis overcome Ryan Clark (Sheffield), the Nook team-mates will clash in the last 16 tomorrow.
