INBEV WINTER BOWLS LEAGUE

REIGNING champions Royle are setting the pace in the early stages of the Inbev Winter Bowling League’s ‘A’ Division at Chadderton Cot.

The Rochdale outfit saw off Springbank 9-2 to take the top spot from Hopwood, who had an open date.

Vixens lead the way in the ‘B’ Division despite losing 8-3 to Prestwich.

With four sides having played only one game, however, placings are likely to alter in the weeks to come.
