Emphatic victory for A Team

RUGBY UNION: Oldham ‘A’ scored an emphatic 58-0 victory against Old Bedians which was sweet revenge for last season’s two defeats against the same opposition.
Early tries from Scott Danby and Danny Booth put Oldham in control and further touchdowns came from Rob Froggatt, Brian Massey and Mike Collinge, who also kicked three conversions to establish a 31-0 half-time advantage.
Oldham had to wait until the 63rd minute before adding to their tally when Chris Heap burst through to score in the left corner.
Further tries followed from Massey, Froggatt, Collinge and Heap, who rounded off a barn-storming run from second-row forward Andy Wood.
Collinge converted the final try.
