FOOTBALL: Mossley’s 1-0 win against Radcliffe Borough in the first round of the UniBond League Challenge Cup could hardly have been more dramatic.
Only seconds of extra-time remained when Matty Kay snatched victory with a diving header from Karl Brown’s corner as the Lilywhites celebrated their first win in 10 league and cup matches.
Extra time saw both teams reduced to 10 men - Danny Egan dismissed for dissent and Radcliffe’s Shaun Connor for a second booking.
Striker Steve Moore, signed from Salford City, made his debut for Mossley.
