THERE was a distinct lack of action at the weekend, with only Waterhead 'A' — convincing 52-6 winners away at Bury Broncos in division five — and Oldham St Anne's 'A' taking to the field.
Saints defeated Albert Park 38-30 on home soil to record a first victory of the season in division one, while Higginshaw and Rochdale Cobras were awarded respective 18-0 walkovers on Eccles and Salford and Chorley Panthers.
Saddleworth Rangers 'A' were due to play away at Heysham Atoms in division three but the match was postponed.
