Angela at the double

ANGELA SLOAN defeated Marie Greaves on the card for top spot in an EWGA medal at BROOKDALE. Sloan scored 78-11-67 while Greaves had a return of 87-20-67.
And to complete a double, Sloan was also the victor in a hidden nine-hole competition which was also incorporated in the event. Her score was 33.5.
Liz Hinchcliffe triumphed in EWGA No 12 at SADDLEWORTH after a round of 82-15-67. She was two shots clear of Kathy Scott (89-20-69).
This event also incorporated a hidden nine-hole Stableford which was won by Brenda Gates (21) from Marie Middleton (20).
Sheila Lees topped the field in a medal round at WERNETH with a score of 106-33–73.
The first division sweep went to Marilyn Griffin (101-26-75) from Fiona Dooley (81–4–77).
Tied for the second division sweep were Glynis Jones (112-33-79) and Christine Moon (115-36-79).
Yuk-Lin Yiu was the runaway winner of an EWGA medal at BLACKLEY after a round of 91-24-67.
She finished five shots clear of Barbara Roberts (105-33-72) while third was Jean Stroud (87-14-73), on the card from Margery Cox (109-36-73).
