KEITH Hicks, the former Athletic central defender, is inviting amateur football teams from Oldham to enter a five-a-side tournament he is organising.
It is being staged by Rochdale AFC Supporters Trust on Sunday, November 1, for two worthy causes.
The proceeds are being split between Rochdale’s Bowlee Pitch Appeal Fund and skin cancer research in memory of Ernie Cooksey, the former Athletic and Rochdale player.
The event is being held at the Soccer Factory, near Tesco’s in Rochdale, between 3pm and 6pm.
Cost is £30 for a squad of eight players. Entries to Hicks on 07958 593121.
