HARLEQUIN moved off bottom spot in the Rochdale On-line Alliance premier division thanks to a 2-1 victory at Dusty Miller.
Player/manager Ash Lomas put the local side ahead with a volley from Si Butler’s cross.
The roles were reversed for Harlequin’s second as Lomas was brought down in the area and Butler stroked home the penalty.
Dusty Miller piled on the pressure in the second half, but their only reward was a last-gasp Keiron Fahy own goal.
AFC Royton made it six wins on the spin in division two with a narrow 1-0 defeat of Wardle thirds.
Wardle had the better of the opening half, but it was Royton who had the upper hand after the break without creating many chances.
But they finally broke the deadlock with 15 minutes to go when Simon Atkinson and Luke Young combined for Colin Ogden to head home.
