Improving Springbank open lead at the top

SPRINGBANK opened up a seven-points lead at the top of the Inbev Winter Bowling League’s ‘A’ Division thanks to a stunning 9-2 defeat of Royle.
Much improved this season, Springbank proved much too strong for the team which had won the ‘A’ Division title for the previous two seasons.
Waterloo and Taunton moved into second place despite losing 6-5 to Nimble Nook, while Chadderton Cot maintained their recent improvement with a 6-5 verdict against New Street.
Lees/Springhead hold a 20-point lead in the ‘B’ Division after beating Stalybridge 10-1, while North Chadderton stayed unbeaten with a 9-2 defeat of Dogwood and Vixens are up to second after their 8–3 victory over Prestwich.
