Venue Guide

Huddersfield Narrow Canal – Best pegs on the match length where skimmers and roach are falling to chopped worm and maggot.

Rochdale Canal – As long as you’re happy catching small fish you’ll be okay as there are plenty of hand-sized skimmers and roach to be had. Bread punch or squatt and pinkie the best methods to use. Best areas are behind the Rose of Lancaster pub and up near to Stake Hill Industrial Estate.

Chadderton Mill lodge – This incredible place just never cease to amaze me as pleasure anglers are catching 50lb or more.

Park Lake – Hardly anyone fishing in the inclement weather.

Ogden Reservoir – Plenty of pike to be had on this day-ticket water.
