MANAGER Chris Willcock wants his Mossley side to prove more than a point in tomorrow’s UniBond League division one north game at basement boys Rossendale.
The Lilywhites are on a 13-match unbeaten run, stretching back to September 22.
They have won eight of those games, including two in the league, but Willcock is looking to improve on that record.
He said: “We’ve shown great character to stay unbeaten for so long, but it is also a bit frustrating in that we haven’t won more games.
“There have been periods when we have dominated matches, but we haven’t turned possession into goals. That’s my only gripe.”
Mossley are 15th in the table, while their hosts have recorded just one win in 14 games.
CHADDERTON boss Paul Buckley will have a near full squad available to him when they play host to Atherton Collieries in division one of the Vodkat North-West Counties League tomorrow.
Mark Edgerton (suspended) and Matthew Walton (thigh injury) are the only absentees from the regular first team, while the reserves have no game.
The Broadway outfit have conceded 10 goals in their last two matches against AFC Liverpool and Stone Dominoes, but Buckley is confident his side can turn things round if they cut out the silly mistakes.
He said: “We can compete with anyone on our day, but we can’t afford to mess up.”
The visit of Atherton offers Chadderton the chance to get back on track as they sit one place below their hosts in 13th.
LOCAL league player Will Buckley has joined Oldham Boro and will make his debut in tomorrow’s NWCL division one game at Barnoldswick.
The midfielder trained with his new team-mates on Tuesday night before putting pen to paper.
Barnoldswick sit fourth in the table, while Boro are fourth from bottom.
Manager Tony Mills said: “We know it’s going to be tough, but we will go there expecting to win.
“Being near the bottom is a new experience for some of the older heads, but everybody is together and very upbeat.”
