ALAN Squires had a hole in one at the seventh as he teamed up with Mark Statham to win a four-ball better-ball Stableford competition at OLDHAM.
The pair racked up 47 points, but needed a card play-off against runners-up Terry Kelly and Gordon Tilzey to secure top spot.
Chris Bailey and Norman Radcliffe and Steve Rae and Terry Garrett were third and fourth after they, too, were involved in the countback.
Lee Warburton and Richard Baines also needed a card play-off to win another four-ball better-ball Stableford at Oldham.
After scoring 44 points, they edged out Mick Allen and Colin Kost, who finished a point clear of Lee Newsome and Paul Bromley.
ERIC Rostron scored 31 points to win a 12-hole singles Stableford at STAMFORD.
Second was Andy Blanchflower (29) after he won a card play-off against one of the club’s improving juniors, Jamie Chadwick.
FATHER and son combination Chris and Robert Calow teamed up with Chris Rabbich and David Holme to finish ahead of the field in a Texas Scramble at CROMPTON and ROYTON.
Their score of 45.6 was enough to finish ahead of Ian Boulter, Roy Denson, Rob Romanowski and Maurice Nicholson (47.6), with Jordan Flint, Mike Flint, Chris Clark and George Shepherd in third.
BOB Anderson (43 points) won the latest Pro’s Winter League event at BLACKLEY from Graham Bardsley (42), Gary Brocklehurst and Andy Bardsley (both 41).
Leading positions in the order of merit after week three are: 1, Andy Bardsley (21 points); 2, Garry Baldwin (16); 3, Graham Bardsley (15).
