AMATEUR FOOTBALL: AFC ROYTON enhanced their Rochdale On-line Alliance title credentials with a 5-2 win over a Rochdale Asia reserve side who brought the best out of ’keeper Jason Parker.

Leading 2-1 at the break thanks to headers from captain Simon Atkinson and Carl Lawton, they added three more in the second half to go joint top of division two.

Kevin King fired home from long range, while Atkinson and Lawton completed doubles.
