INBEV BOWLS: LEES/SPRINGHEAD’S relentless march towards the Inbev Winter Bowling League’s ‘B’ Division title continued when they defeated the only other previously-unbeaten team in their section.

North Chadderton provided strong opposition on Chadderton Cot’s artificial surface, but Lees/Springhead won 9-2 thanks to a strong all-round team effort.

There was a surprise in the ‘A’ Division as Hopwood beat leaders Springbank 7-4.

Royle’s slump continued with a 9-2 defeat at the hands of Waterloo and Taunton, while Chadderton Cot and Nimble Nook shared the aggregate despite Nook having five winners to Cot’s three.
