Tame Valley run ends

SQUASH: Tame Valley’s winning run in the North West Counties Squash League was ended after seven successes when they were edged out 3-2 by Division Three North East leaders Cheetham Hill firsts.

Amir Manachouri and Dave Swallow scored for the Greenfield side.

The seconds lost 4-1 to Village Hyde 1st, Graham Hill the lone success, while the third were thrashed 5-0 by David Lloyd Manchester seconds.

Mark Gartside and Lee Coverley won for the fourths in their 3-2 defeat against Monton thirds.
